Why To Document, And Why Such Documentation

In our everyday lives, we often come up to a point when we become curious and try to explore things. Why? Simply on the main reason that we want to discover and or learn more. Throughout the whole process, we tend to record certain, important detail in order for us to have further reference use. Thus, we call this in totality as documentation.
For example you are a high school student, and your teacher asked you to make your Science project, all of the steps you’ve gone through when you were writhing your paper is called documentation. On the basic reason why you are putting all your thoughts, observations, conclusions, and recommendations into paper is because your mind will never remember each and every detail you have encountered. This is the very same reason for you to have a written documentation in case that you might need to recall valuable information.
In making a high – quality documentation, it is almost like teaching. When you create a document, you also expect that others will be able to read it. Which I can suggest that anyone who will create such document should be able to write it with very minimal to no flaws at all. All information that would be pulled out from a document should be valid with its corresponding references. Not only are the information present in a documentation important, in totality, the document must provide a sense of purpose for the others who might need it. In order for it to be a valuable document, it must show its worth and it must also provide more than enough, if not ample, contribution to further help future documents that are to be created. To sum it up, in a classroom setting, a teacher is very good teacher if he/she has taught the students well with the help from his/her learnings and from what he/she has personally gained. Thus, the students are able to understand most if not all of the things they have been taught.

Finally, as a student of De La Salle –College of Saint Benilde, Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, it is mandatory for me to create documentations as I create systems. This is not only for my future use and reference, but for others to use as a stepping stone for them to create even better results. In each and every step that I go through as I design, create, finalize, and analyze programs, I should put it on paper and document everything. This is why documentation is not only very important, but also a necessity.
